Federal prosecutors say the Wisconsin man struck up an online relationship with a 14-year-old Tennessee girl and offered to help her run away when she told him her adoptive father was sexually molesting her, but only if she sent him video proof of the sexual assault. Prosecutors say Rogers drove to the girl's home to pick her up on Jan. 14 once she provided him with the video. Prosecutors are seeking a grand jury indictment against Rogers. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
