… at least all eyes that are interested in what Apple Computer will do this week. The firm’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) opens today at the Moscone Center and you can almost “make book” that Apple honcho Steve Jobs will roll out this or that hot item. Among the best guesses:

(1) A preview version, at least, of the “Leopard” operating system, the next revision to Mac OS X. When we mortals will be able to see it is anybody’s guess.

(2) Some new desktop (tower) computers incorporating the Intel processor line; the PowerMac G5 range is the last PowerPC chip based computer line Apple sells.

(3) A hint (?) of some laptops with newer Intel chips.

(4) Maybe some new iPods, if speculation on NPR holds up.

By the end of the day, we’ll know some answers, if not all of them. Let the games begin!
