Last night at Wachovia Center

SEEN AND HEARD

The Flyers called up defenseman Lars Jonsson yesterday when he was in Syracuse with the American Hockey League’s Philadelphia Phantoms. He went to grab a flight but was turned aside — no picture ID. He was somehow able to rent a car and made it to Philadelphia just in time for the game.

QUOTABLE

“There is way too much movement with the foot in the skate so it’s impossible to play. I have no balance whatsoever.”

OVECHKIN WATCH

The list is growing. Alex Ovechkin has now traded autographed sticks with Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh), Teemu Selanne (Anaheim), Pavel Datsyuk (Detroit), Markus Naslund and Roberto Luongo (Vancouver) and Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron (Boston).

“And a few more, I can’t remember,” he said.
