I won’t be free that morning, but if you want to know why I believe departing AOL exec Ted Leonsis is a great guy, come hear him speak, if you can pony up the $95:

Wanted to give you a heads up that Ted Leonsis, AOL executive and majority owner of the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals, will be giving the keynote address at the Robert H. Smith School of Business’ seventh annual CIO Forum, Friday, Nov. 3. The event takes place at Van Munching Hall on the University of Maryland’s College Park campus. Ted is scheduled to speak at 9 a.m.

The forum continues with speakers, panel discussions and networking all day and focuses on the strategic use of information technology in digital commerce and health IT implications for business. More information is available at www.rhsmith.umd.edu/cioforum.
