To the right of most headlines on this Web site is a little icon inviting you to “Click-2-Listen.” If you do — click, that is — you’ll hear a computer-generated voice reading the text of the item.

The service comes from Newsworthy Audio and should offer an interesting way to follow the news. You’ll be able to download selected stories to an MP3 player and listen while commuting, which could make life on, say, I-270 a lot more interesting. Unless there’s one of those massive wrecks to look at.
