Metro stations will soon be a little more lively.

Thespians of all genres will fill station entrances as part of MetroPerforms! in July, August and September.

The program will hold auditions on a first-come, first-served basis Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Metro headquarters at 600 5th St., NW, Washington D.C.

Once chosen, artists will perform on a volunteer basis in stations and on the National Mall.

This is the fifth summer Metro will host the artistic series. It began in 2007, but was not held in 2009 or 2011.
