ANALYSIS/OPINION:

When does Rep. Jessie Jackson Jr.s media free pass expire? Please dont tell us he cant be located (Jesse Jackson Jr.: Rumors fly over mysterious disappearance, Web, July 11). Any reporter worth his salt can certainly find a way to follow those closest to Mr. Jackson and find him.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson tells us his son will come clean when he deems it appropriate. What hogwash. The younger Mr. Jackson owes his constituents an explanation. Its been a month and rumors abound. Is he ill or does he simply have fed-itis?

Heres another politician who thinks being elected over and over again gives him special status. If it wasnt for his father using connections to put him in office, he wouldnt be in the position hes in now. Some might say Jesse Jackson Jr. was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.
