On the same day that Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder finally spoke out on the seemingly never-ending team name controversy, saying he’s not going to change the name, a group including American Indians calling itself the Cowboy and Indian Alliance camps on the National Mall to protest the Keystone XL pipeline.

I’m confused. Pejoratives are OK when self-monikered, but offensive when they’re not?
