PEKIN, Ill. (AP) - A central Illinois woman has been sentenced to 12 years in prison in an elderly-neglect case involving her mother.

The Pekin Daily Times reports (https://bit.ly/PBabts) that 42-year-old Jennifer Levin of Washington pleaded guilty Friday to criminal neglect of the elderly.

Police called after 66-year-old Carole Levin died last July found her stuck to a bed and covered in bedsores. She weighed 52 pounds.
