KYLE, S.D. (AP) - A Kyle man charged with killing his passenger in a drunken driving accident has pleaded guilty.
In a deal with the state, 36-year-old Jimmy Pilcher pleaded guilty Friday to vehicular homicide, eluding and driving under the influence.
KOTA-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1rs1DRT) the state has agreed to argue for no more than 25 years in exchange for his guilty plea. The defense can ask for less time, but there is a 10-year mandatory minimum.
Prosecutors say Pilcher was fleeing police when he caused the crash that killed 40-year-old Tamara Hunter.
