MATTOON, Wis. (AP) - Authorities say a 90-year-old Antigo man who missed a planned visit with his wife in a care center has been found dead.

Shawano County Deputy Sheriff Nathan Thornborrow says the man’s body was found about 9:30 a.m. Friday on land he owned near Mattoon.

Thornborrow tells WAOW-TV (https://bit.ly/1fgd3YV ) the man had gone to the rural, wooded land where he liked to visit when his truck got stuck and he began walking.

The deputy says the man, whose name has not been released, apparently died of natural causes. Foul play is not suspected.

The man was last seen Thursday morning. The Langlade County Sheriff’s Department started a search about 10 p.m. Thursday after the man’s family told authorities it was unusual for him not to meet with his wife and her caregivers.
