COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (AP) - Police in Cottonwood Heights say they’ve issued a dozen citations at a party where people had taken the so-called “date rape” drug, GHB.

Officer Brian Eschtruth says police responded to a disturbance about 7 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex on South Highland Drive.

They found one unconscious 20-year-old man next to a swimming pool and another unconscious 23-year-old man who was sliding into the pool. One officer pulled him out of the water. Authorities also found a 19-year-old woman passed out on a couch inside an apartment.

Eschtruth tells KSL-TV (https://tinyurl.com/lo5hnjl) the three victims were transported to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.

He says some of the individuals cited were minors who had been consuming drugs and alcohol throughout the night.
