The world would be such a grand place if all children had something to eat, no one lied or cheated, courtesy was the rule and we all loved one another. The reality, however, is that there are some really evil people out there who could not care less about others and would just as soon kill some people as look at them.

So while some of us believe the United States is a bad country, think about the relative serenity we have here while you are sipping your latte or watching a ballgame or eating just about whatever you want. Yes, sometimes we have to do some atrocious things to maintain our freedom, but how many beheadings, rapings of women and children and crashings of airplanes into buildings to kill innocent civilians by the thousands have we perpetrated? Yes, we have our shortcomings, but we constantly strive to improve. God bless the men and women of our military, the CIA and all the others who have kept the United States safe, free and a great place to live for more than 200 years.
