LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says a lane and ramps along Interstate 440 will be closed for work along the interstate.

The AHTD says crews will be removing an overhead sign at the I-40/440 Interchange - reducing the width of the I-40 eastbound exit to I-440 westbound so crews can work on the right shoulder.

Crews will also close the inside lane of I-440 to work on the left shoulder and that it will also be necessary to close the outside lane of I-440 eastbound that leads to I-40 eastbound.

The lane closures will be Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
