NEW YORK (AP) - Kyle Vinales hit a 3-pointer with 6 seconds left to give Central Connecticut State a 73-71 win over Saint Francis (N.Y.) on Tuesday night.

Vinales finished with 23 points, five assists and three of CCSU’s season-high 14 steals.

With 14 seconds to play and the score tied at 70, Vinales had the ball stolen by Brent Jones and immediately fouled, sending Jones to the free throw line - where he hit the first of two free throws.

De’Angelo Speech grabbed the rebound for CCSU (9-16, 5-7 Northeast Conference), setting up the game-winning 3 by Vinales.

Matt Mobley’s steal in the final seconds sealed the win for the Blue Devils.

St. Francis (15-12, 6-6) made 12 of 22 (54.5 percent) from 3-point range, but turned the ball over 17 times.

Ben Mockford paced the Terriers with 18 points while Jalen Cannon added 16 and 12 rebounds.
