HOUSTON (AP) - Mourners attending a memorial service for four members of a Chinese-American family shot to death in their Cypress home say the killings have made their community deeply fearful.

Maoye Sun and his wife Mei Xie were shot along with their two sons on Jan. 30 in Cypress, northwest of Houston. The family had emigrated from China.

The Houston Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1o76k4V ) that on Saturday, friends and neighbors remembered a close, friendly family. Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia told attendees his office continues to investigate.

The lack of answers has left many in the community worried. Some say their families in China have urged them to return to that country.

State Rep. Gene Wu, D-Houston urged Chinese community members to step forward with any information they may have.
