CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) - Police in southwestern Idaho have arrested a man who they say is suspected in a bar fight that left two men with stab wounds.

Caldwell police say the 42-year-old man began arguing with a man from Nampa at Vern’s Tavern in Caldwell. The argument escalated into a fight, and that’s when police say the Caldwell man pulled a knife and cut the other man, and then stabbed a bystander who tried to intervene. The two injured men were taken to local hospitals.

Police say the suspect fled the scene but was arrested later at his home. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery but has not yet been formally charged.
