The abortion debate should help Americans define the notions of good and evil by answering the following simple questions (“All is fair in love, war and politics: GOP attacks Dem claims of a ‘war on women,’” Web, Jan. 22).

Ask yourself whether it is good or evil to try to prevent the brutal murder of innocent, helpless children, to try to prevent a woman from committing murder, to try to prevent people from becoming accomplices to murder or to try to prevent people from becoming enablers of murder and murderers.

The Bible defines a pregnant woman as “with child” (Genesis 16:11) and the killing of a child in the womb as murder (Exodus 21:22-24).

Now whether we are Republicans or Democrats, each of us can decide whether we are on the side of good or evil — and how we should vote.
