PHOENIX (AP) - The final numbers are in and officials say more than 400 people were arrested in Arizona for DUI-related offenses over St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety on Tuesday released a statewide report of arrests made by several DUI task forces from a four-day period that ended Monday.

According to the report, law enforcement arrested 413 people. That’s up from 364 during St. Patrick’s Day weekend last year.

Officials say the 371 of the arrests were misdemeanor and 131 of them were for extreme DUI.

They say there were also 18 DUI arrests made of people under the age of 21.

The agency’s task forces are comprised of law enforcement personnel from police, highway patrol, sheriff’s offices and volunteers.
