CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Freshman Luke Frampton scored 21 points to lead Poca to a 55-40 victory over Fairmont Senior in the Class AAA quarterfinals Wednesday.

Elijah Cuffee added 13 points and Noah Frampton scored 10 for second-seeded Poca (25-1).

The Dots were ahead 19-16 at halftime and pulled away in the second half, leading by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter. Poca shot 74 percent (14 of 19) from the floor after halftime.

Seventh-seeded Fairmont Senior (15-10) was held to 27 percent shooting for the game.

Jacob Casalinuova led the Polar Bears with nine points.

Poca extended its winning streak to 23 games and will play third-seeded Bluefield (23-2) in Friday’s semifinals at the Charleston Civic Center. Poca is in search of its first state title since 1997.
