McLAUGHLIN, S.D. (AP) - A staff member and two students from a South Dakota school who were involved in a crash in Colorado are expected to return to their homes Thursday.

Five students and two adults were involved in an accident Monday when a sport utility vehicle that belongs to the McLaughlin School District hit ice and rolled at least twice.

McLaughlin’s Elementary School principal says various groups have started raising funds for the victims. McLaughlin is on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation that straddles the South Dakota-North Dakota border.

Twenty-six-year-old Kyle Henderson, of Box Elder, was driving the SUV when the incident occurred. Authorities say he was the only one wearing a seat belt.

The Colorado State Patrol says the other victims are three 13-year-old girls, two 14-year-old girls and a 26-year-old woman.
