NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The Big 12 Conference wrestling championships are set for this weekend in Norman.
The tournament will be held on Saturday at McCasland Field House on the University of Oklahoma campus. It marks the fourth time Oklahoma will host the event and the first since 2010.
Oklahoma State leads the conference with 12 overall conference titles with the last coming in 2013. The 2013 championship held in Stillwater was attended by 4,500 fans.
Oklahoma State enters the championship ranked No. 4 in Intermat’s tournament rankings. Oklahoma and Iowa State check in at No. 6 and No. 15, respectively. West Virginia does not carry a ranking.
The tournament field includes 29 ranked wrestlers. The Sooners have nine wrestlers ranked, while Iowa State has six and West Virginia has four.
