PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - An August trial date has been set for a Hurley woman indicted on charges accusing her of drunk driving when she was involved in a crash that killed a 4-year-old boy. Authorities say the accident also injured three of the boy’s family members.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1qyBtBU ) 39-year-old Carissa Dawn McCary was tentatively set to go trial Monday, but the case was continued until Aug. 4.

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested McCary in January on warrants related to the Nov. 28, 2012, crash that resulted in the death of 4-year-old Darren Gaspard Jr., of Starks, Louisiana, and injuries to his parents and young brother.

McCary is currently being held with no bond on a felony probation warrant.
