MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Elliot Hospital in Manchester and police are investigating the theft of four computers that the hospital says had limited information about patients on them.

The hospital says the computers were stolen from an employee’s car in March as they were being taken to a location to be destroyed.

Hospital officials tell WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1r3jXpD) that the computers contained a small handful of documents that had been archived on the PCs’ local drive containing limited information relating to 1,213 patients. Those documents included patients’ names, dates of service and billing codes.

Officials say none of the information involved medical records.

The hospital is notifying those patients.
