COTTLE, W.Va. (AP) - An inmate who escaped from the Pruntytown Correctional Center is back behind bars.

West Virginia State Police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous says troopers found 30-year-old Rodney Hypes Jr. on Sunday in a wooded area behind several residences in the Cottle area. Hypes was captured without incident.

Baylous says in a news release that Hypes has been charged with escape.

Media outlets report that Hypes escaped from the prison in Taylor County on Saturday night.
