SOLVAY, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have charged a 40-year-old man with attempted murder after police say he stabbed another man multiple times outside the victim’s Syracuse-area home.
Local media report that police in the village of Solvay charged John Conway with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Conway was arrested hours after 43-year-old Michael LaPoint was found early Sunday morning suffering from several stab wounds. Police say he was attacked outside his home around 5:30 a.m.
LaPoint was in critical condition after undergoing surgery.
Conway is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
