LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A former Lake Charles therapist has pleaded not guilty to charges related to alleged misconduct with a patient.

The American Press reports (https://bit.ly/1eOXZNb ) 41-year-old Christopher Hay entered his plea Monday to charges of sexual battery and attempted forcible rape.

A jury trial date of Oct. 6 was set.

Hay, who was a professional counselor and a marriage and family therapist, had his license revoked in September.

An investigation by the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners allegedly found that Hay was inappropriately touching a woman he was counseling.
