AUBURN, Maine (AP) - An Auburn man who pleaded guilty to aggravated assault charges after police said he fractured his two-month-old son’s skull is set to be sentenced.

Allen-Michael St. Claire pleaded guilty in a plea agreement last month. His sentencing is scheduled for Friday at Androscoggin County Superior Court. The Sun Journal (https://bit.ly/1s3uagS ) reported that both sides agreed to a seven-year sentence with the time served in prison capped at 2 1/2 years. St. Claire would also be on probation for two years after serving his prison term.

Prosecutors dropped two lesser felony charges in the case. The Sun Journal reported that St. Claire confessed to injuring the infant.
