BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. (AP) - A New Hampshire woman has been charged with passing forged prescriptions for painkillers in Vermont.
Vermont State Police say 35-year-old Kathleen Whitcomb of Acworth, New Hampshire, stole a blank pad of prescriptions from a doctor’s office where she worked and had been writing fraudulent prescriptions at New Hampshire pharmacies for many months.
She was arrested Wednesday and charged with filling five fraudulent prescriptions for Oxycodone and Vicodin at a pharmacy in Bellows Falls between March 2 and May 1.
A message left at a phone number listed in Whitcomb’s name was not immediately returned Thursday.
