Rapper Lil Jon did not let his missing absentee ballot dissuade him from visiting the polls on Election Day. The Georgia native hopped a 6 a.m. flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta to mark his choices, CNN is reporting.

Lil Jon, whose real name is Jonathan Smith, reportedly sought an absentee ballot from Georgia several times in recent weeks without success. Fulton County Elections Director Richard Barron said the rapper’s absentee ballot request was received Oct. 24 and was postmarked to California on Oct. 27, according to CNN. However, Lil Jon apparently never received the ballot.

Before his pre-dawn flight from the West Coast, Lil Jon, who has been involved in get-out-the-vote-campaigns in previous elections, tweeted an all-caps message:

“6AM FLIGHT TO ATL TO VOTE BECAUSE GA NEVA SENT MY BALLOT AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS!!! U CANT DISCOURAGE ME! #VOTETODAY@TURNOUTFORWHAT #ROCKTHEVOTE
