Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart have introduced legislation to have the Muslim Brotherhood officially designated by the U.S. government as what it is: a foreign terrorist organization.
Needless to say, operatives and apologists for the group are decrying this initiative. They point to the Muslim Brotherhood’s professed opposition to “violence,” ignoring both the fact that its creed expressly claims that “jihad is our way” and “dying in the way of Allah is our highest goal.”
It is an act of malfeasant national security fraud to do as the Obama administration has done in legitimating, engaging, funding and even arming the Muslim Brotherhood. The debate on the Cruz-Diaz-Balart bill will afford an excellent opportunity to lay bare the extraordinary danger posed to this country by such jihadists, and to begin rolling them up.
