(1) Bono, Eugene Peterson Team Up on Film about Psalms (CBN)

Popular singer and U2 lead vocalist Bono has teamed up with Eugene Peterson to make a film about the book of Psalms. The documentary-styled filmed is set to be released on April 26 online. It will feature Bono and Peterson who have shared a bond over the book for the past 15 years. The project was shot in Peterson’s home state of Montana and chronicles their conversation on the 150 Psalms in the Bible.

(2) Religious leaders object to religious objections laws (AP)

Dozens of Methodist leaders are objecting to Mississippi’s new religious objections law, saying it violates their religious principles. More than 30 ministers from around the state and nation published an open letter Monday saying the so-called “religious freedom” law goes against Christian teachings to love and respect all people. The group joins major businesses, human rights groups and legal experts in opposing the incoming law, which they say discriminates against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
