After the expenditure of significant time and money, the American electorate has been given the unenviable task of selecting one of two totally unsuitable candidates to be our next president. In responding to questions on Fox News last Sunday, Hillary Clinton not only confirmed that she is untruthful and untrustworthy, she revealed that she is unaware of the difference between a lie and the truth.

Donald Trump has his own problems, with a mouth he opens before his brain is engaged. It is beyond me how anyone running for elected office — let alone the office of president — could fail to realize the stupidity of criticizing the parents of a soldier killed in action. The man has no ability to understand which remarks require responses and which ones should be ignored.

Both candidates will continue to have their supporters despite the fact that neither merits the support of voters capable of viewing the forthcoming election with any measure of objectivity. I would love to see elected someone who could restore the status of America and “make us great again,” but personally I dread the outcome whomever is elected.
