It seems for some celebrities almost anything is a opportunity to wax political. Take Olivia Wilde

On Monday, the actress (HBO’s “Vinyl”) posted an Instagram animated image displaying her new hairdo, complete with a gratuitous swipe at future first lady Melania Trump, the Huffington Post reported Tuesday.

“Feelin myself apparently,” she wrote in the caption accompanying a Boomerang gif of a duck-faced Wilde fluffling her hair. “Thanks to the master @harryjoshhair for the chop. #nomoremelaniahair.”

This is hardly the first time Ms. Wilde used a personal announcement to make a political statement. In September, Ms. Wilde casually announced the gender of her unborn child in an anti-Trump tweet, Elle magazine reported at the time. Daughter Daisy Josephine was born weeks later in mid-October.

“I never know when to shut up, so I’ll be very active throughout the campaign,” Ms. Wilde told E! News in an interview earlier this year.

“Whenever people feel like politics is something that’s not a part of their daily life, I remind them it is. It’s a part of everything you do,” she added.
