A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Saturday afternoon on the platform of the Deanwood Metro station in Northeast Washington, D.C.

The boy was involved in a conversation around 4 p.m. that turned into an argument. That’s when the suspect drew his gun and shot the boy, who was taken to Prince George’s County Hospital Center where he died, Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said.

The Deanwood station, which travels along the Orange line near the border of the city and Prince George’s County, was closed with bus service running between the Minnesota Avenue and Cheverly stations.
