ANALYSIS/OPINION:

The Democrats are very astute in revising their political vernacular in order to suit their politically deceptive purposes. For example, a “tax-and-spend liberal” has become a “revenue-and-investment progressive.” The terms “liberal” and “progressive” are used to disguise a socialist, as evidenced by the evolution of the Democratic Party since 1968.

“Gun control” laws have instead become mislabeled as “gun safety” laws. “Pro-abortion” was changed to “pro-choice.” The Democrats’ socialistic goal of “income redistribution” is now concealed as a campaign to address “income inequality.” Opposition to voter fraud is “voter suppression,” according to Democrats.

In keeping with the use of the Democratic Party’s semantics, I am opposed to the “deportation of illegal aliens” but in favor of the “repatriation of foreign nationals.” I am opposed to the building of a “wall” on the U.S.-Mexico border to keep out illegals but for building a “security partition” to impede unlawful immigration.

The Democratic Party is adept at fooling all of the people all of the time. It is time for all of the people, including misguided Democrats, to stop being played for fools. Intentional and deliberate political deception cannot be the basis for good faith and trust. As the English poet Alexander Pope observed, “Party-spirit at best is but the madness of many for the gain of a few.” It is time for the American people to regain their sanity.
