GROTON, Conn. (AP) - Police say a 4-year-old girl has died from injuries she suffered in a car accident in Groton on Halloween.

Authorities on Tuesday identified the victim as Delilah Ali, who was a passenger in one of two vehicles that collided Monday shortly before 5:30 p.m. on the Gold Star Highway. Two other people in the girl’s vehicle were seriously injured, but are expected to survive.

The driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Police are asking witnesses to call them.

An autopsy on the girl is scheduled for Wednesday.
