BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a February DUI crash that killed a 24-year-old Adger man.

The Birmingham News reports (https://bit.ly/2eU1Txj) Timothy White was arrested Monday and charged with murder and first-degree assault in the collision that killed Timothy Hatter.

Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian says the crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the western part of the county. When deputies arrived on the scene, Christian says they found a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup driven by Michael Carr and a service truck driven by White.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Hatter, a passenger in the pickup, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for him.
