BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A California man who shot at other motorists on Interstate 84 near Boise has received a reduced sentence.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://bit.ly/2fmegiy ) that a federal judge on Thursday reduced 31-year-old Lajai J. Pridgette’s by more than a year.

Pridgette had appealed his sentence to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled a sentencing report had misrepresented how long Pridgette spent behind bars for two drug convictions.

The appeals court vacated Pridgette’s sentence and ordered Senior U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge to reconsider how long Pridgette should remain in prison.

Pridgette was originally sentenced to more than 11 years in prison following the October 2013 shooting.

On Thursday Lodge ordered Pridgette to serve a 10-year sentence.
