PHOENIX (AP) - Two Phoenix police officers are accused of falsifying a police report on a 2015 incident during which one of them pepper-sprayed a homeless woman.

A grand jury indictment issued Oct. 25 and released Friday charges Officers Christopher Tiona and Logan J. Egnor with felony tampering with a public record.

A Police Department investigator concluded that the officers changed the timeline of events in their report by lying about staying with the woman after one of the officers pepper-sprayed her.

The two officers don’t have phones listed in their names, and it isn’t clear whether they have attorneys who could comment on the allegations.

Tiona and Egnor received summonses Thursday to appear in court for Nov. 21 arraignments.

A department spokesman said Thursday the officers remained on administrative leave.
