SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a woman selling magazines door-to-door deliberately started fires in front of a Salt Lake home after a resident declined to buy any.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2fpUzs5 ) that 19-year-old Aerica Velria-Latan Johnson is facing several charges including arson and disorderly conduct, according to charging documents filed Friday.

A woman at the home told investigators that Johnson became irate when she refused to purchase magazines.



Johnson then allegedly set some dried leaves and sugar packets on fire with a lighter. She then lit a wreath on the door on fire.

Police say the woman and a disabled resident were inside.

A neighbor reported the fires.

Police say Johnson tried to block an approaching fire engine.

She was subsequently arrested and is behind held in Salt Lake County Jail.
