PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - A Prescott Valley woman and her live-in boyfriend have been arrested after a shooting incident at their home.

Police say Christopher Lapointe is being held in the Yavapai County jail on drug and firearms charges and alleged misconduct involving weapons.

They say Lapointe is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Police say Amanda Paladino has been booked into jail on similar charges plus three counts of endangerment because her three children were in the couple’s home at the time of the shooting incident.

Paladino was treated at a hospital Friday after she accidentally shot herself.

When police interviewed Lapointe at the couple’s home, they smelled marijuana and saw an illegally altered shotgun.

Police seized six additional firearms, more than $1,500 in cash plus methamphetamine, marijuana and heroin.
