PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Several people were sent to the hospital after a Providence Police car hit a parked food truck.

Police say the police car was responding to a call around 2 a.m. Saturday when it struck the food truck.

The truck was parked on Broad Street.

Police did not give details of the injuries but said the officer, along with people inside the truck and pedestrians were taken to the hospital. Police say no one was hit directly by the police car.
