PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Investigators are trying to determine what ignited a house fire that left two people dead in Philadelphia’s Bustleton neighborhood.

Heavy flames and smoke were showing as firefighters arrived on the scene early Wednesday on Bridle Road. The flames quickly spread.

Two people who were found on the floor were pronounced dead. Their names have not been released.

It took more than 30 minutes for firefighters to get the upper hand on the blaze.

A firefighter was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
