LOCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a pedestrian has died after being hit by a motorcycle on a western New York road.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday on Stone Road in Lockport.

Deputies say when they arrived on the scene they found a pedestrian dead in the eastbound lane and the motorcyclist in a yard on the south side of the road.

Police say the pedestrian was in the eastbound lane when struck by the biker.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.

The motorcyclist was transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport for treatment of injuries that haven’t been specified.
