HOMEWOOD, Ala. (AP) - Police say they found a Brookside police officer’s stolen car but that his wallet and police gear are missing.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/2dgX5yf ) a white 2013 Hyundai Sonata belonging to Brookside Officer Brady McLaughlin was stolen sometime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday from an address in Homewood.

The vehicle is McLaughlin’s personal car, but authorities were concerned about the law enforcement gear in the trunk. Police say there was no gun in the vehicle when it was taken.
