ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Since the Democrats do not want President Trump to fully fund his border security plan (or “the wall”), then the president and the Department of Justice should divert all funds from sanctuary cities and states to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the funding of the southern-border security plan.

If the Democrats do not want American citizens protected from illegal aliens, criminals and drug cartels because they want the illegal votes, then they should lose all federal funding. These funds should go toward the physical and technical border security project offered by the president.

In the timeline in which the Department of Justice is demanding that sanctuary cities and state meet federal requirements, the border wall will be funded by September. This will allow Customs and Border Protection to proceed with the design and planning required to protect our southern border.

Former President Obama diverted Department of Homeland Security funds to his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. By this standard, President Trump can move federal funds around to get the border security plan in place for full construction in 2018. We must punish politicians who promote policies for illegals over our national security.
