RANDOLPH, Vt. (AP) - Vermont is holding a conference next month to help the state’s brewers avoid environmental violations.

Organizers say Brewery Day will cover pertinent state regulations and provide an opportunity for discussion among brewers and state experts about common challenges.

The event takes place Thursday, February 23 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Vermont Technical College in Randolph.

State agencies have identified trends in environmental violations in the brewing industry and discussed ways to help brewers avoid them.

At the conference, participants will review case studies and participate in question-and-answer sessions about common compliance issues.

Brewers also will get a chance to learn about resources available for starting or expanding a brewery in Vermont.

Brewers can register online for the conference at https://dec.vermont.gov/environmental-assistance/compliance/brewery.
