UNION CITY, Calif. (AP) - Officials say a San Jose State University basketball player was dismissed from the team after being arrested along with four others after using a stolen credit card at a fast food restaurant.

Union City Police Department says 19-year-old Terrell Brown was arrested last weekend on suspicion of robbery, criminal threats, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The university’s head basketball coach Dave Wojcik says the freshman was dismissed for violating team rules.

Police say the victim was giving his statement to officers when he checked his bank account and saw one of his stolen credit cards had been used at an In-N-Out restaurant two miles away.

Officers went to the fast food restaurant, arrested four men and a woman and recovered the man’s property.
