GARFIELD, N.J. (AP) - Officials say two boys are under investigation for setting fire to a home in a New Jersey city.

Garfield firefighters were called to the scene of the fire Tuesday afternoon, and found the home on fire and two people on the roof. Fire Chief E.J. Morano tells NorthJersey.com (https://njersy.co/2sk1Brz ) the two juvenile boys were removed from the roof and escorted away by police.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Squad responded to investigate as well. Firefighters extinguished the fire at the vacant home within a half-hour.

There was extensive damage to the back of the house.
